GULF North Barents

Flekkefjord Elektro AS designed and installed the Electrical De-Ice installation based on winterized basic for Gulf North Barents, a platform supply vessel ST-216 Arctic. The Electrical anti-icing based on Winterized Basic is done by a complete de-ice system operated by 2 control cabinets which are PLC-controlled.

Electrical heating by means of heat tracing cables for:

  • Escape routes
  • Gangways and stairways
  • Railings, Doors and Freeing ports
  • Drains
  • Area for launching MOB boat (MOB boat is placed in a protected hangar)
  • Foundation of life rafts and release mechanism for life rafts
  • Air head for ventilation of water tanks
